It has been a lively start to the year, and it is uplifting to see our new and returning students enjoying the campus.

QS subject rankings We have achieved notable success in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, with five subjects in the Top 50 and an impressive 27 subjects in the Top 100. It’s a great result that reflects the dedication of our staff and the commitment to academic excellence across the University. Senior appointment I am pleased to confirm the appointment of Dr Greg Murison as CEO of Auckland UniServices Limited and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Innovation and Enterprise). Greg has been with UniServices for six years, previously in the role of Executive Director, Strategic Growth, before stepping in as Acting CEO in October 2024. Sustainability Hub Dr Maria Armoudian has been appointed Director of the Sustainability Hub. With her expertise in sustainability and human rights, Maria will be instrumental in supporting the University’s local and global impact in this area. He Āhuru Mōwai opens This week, the new pastoral and academic support centre dedicated to enhancing the well-being and success of tauira Māori opened in the Kate Edger Information Commons.
