With Council's unanimous support, I am pleased to confirm the reappointment of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dawn Freshwater.

Since her appointment in 2020, Professor Freshwater has worked tirelessly to position the University exceptionally well during extraordinarily challenging times. At the same time, she has strengthened the University by focusing on excellence in both the student experience, in establishing a strong research and innovation pipeline, and creating meaningful global and national partnerships in a changing world.

With the domestic and international higher education sectors facing increasingly complex and uncertain times, the Council is delighted that Professor Freshwater will lead our University for another term.
