I am excited to announce the upcoming launch of Hono | Human Connectionshttps://www.staff.auckland.ac.nz/en/how-the-university-works/projects-and-programmes/hr-ecosystem.html. The team is working exceptionally hard towards a target go-live date of Tuesday 12 November 2024. This change is a significant step forward for the University and we need your help to ensure a seamless process.
The transition requires a pause in our usual operations with a system shutdown from Monday 21 October to Monday 11 November 2024.
During the shutdown the following systems will not be available:
- PeopleSoft HR
- SilkRoad Onboarding
- Cornerstone – learning (Career tools)
- SmartRecruiters
Here’s what to expect:
Business ramp down and clean-up phase (now until Sunday 20 October)
- Critical action: ensure unsubmitted used leave is entered and approved now.
- If you plan to take leave before Tuesday 12 November, submit your leave request(s) as soon as possible.
- Complete your online courses to prevent having to restart them in the new system.
- Managers will need to schedule casual staff requirements during the shutdown and make sure they are submitted and approved by Sunday 20 October 2024.
System shutdown (Monday 21 October to Monday 11 November)
- No changes in the systems as data is moved out of legacy systems into Hono
Hono Go Live (Tuesday 12 November)
- Catch-up period where systems are updated
- Staff using timesheets enter their time worked in preparation for next payroll
- Staff get used to the new system
Detailed information about the processes impacted by the shutdown and ramp down activities are available on the staff intranethttps://www.staff.auckland.ac.nz/en/how-the-university-works/projects-and-programmes/hr-ecosystem/hono-cutover-plan/business-process-cutoff-information.html. If you have any questions or concerns, please email hrecosystem@auckland.ac.nz.
