ReoSpace launches Congratulations to all involved in the successful launch last week of ReoSpace on Level 1 of the General Library. ReoSpace is an important part of the University’s Te Reo Revitalisation Strategy, providing a place for speakers of te reo Māori to come together to practise and improve their skills. You can learn more on our News pageshttps://www.auckland.ac.nz/en/news/2024/07/15/University-launches-dedicated-space-to-practise-te-reo-Maori.html and watch the launch videohttps://youtu.be/NSz3WV4SslE.
Tertiary Education Performance Indicators The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) recently published the 2023 Educational Performance Indicators (EPI). The University has performed strongly. The report evaluates the academic performance of tertiary institutions across four metrics: qualification completion rate, first-year retention rate, course completion rate and progression to higher-level studies. We are at or above the sector on all measures, including an 81 percent first year retention rate, and an 89 percent course completion rate. We also have the highest Māori Course Completion Rate at 85 percent and the highest Pacific Course Completion Rate at 76 percent. Interestingly, we account for 33 percent of all Pacific EFTS in the university sector. More information can be found on this TEC interactive chart.https://www.tec.govt.nz/funding/funding-and-performance/performance/teo/epi-reports/interactive-charts/#!/
