Celebrating Research Excellence Congratulations to the 2024 recipients of our Celebrating Research Excellence Awards. This year’s accolades recognise senior and early-career researchers who have significantly contributed to their respective fields through innovative and high-quality work. Draft Freedom of Expression and Academic Freedom Policy Consultation Thank you to everyone who submitted ideas on the Draft Freedom of Expression and Academic Freedom Policy consultation, which ended on Friday. We have received substantial feedback, which the advisory group will now collate and review before submitting its recommendations to UEC and Senate for review, and then to Council for approval.
APRU Annual Presidents’ Meeting Last week, the University welcomed university leaders across Asia-Pacific to Tāmaki Makaurau to address ocean sustainability challenges. It was a privilege to host the conference, facilitate collaboration amongst fellow research-intensive universities and collectively seek solutions to global challenges.
