Kia ora koutou,
It’s been an incredibly inspiring and positive week with the excellence of our community recognised in multiple ways and a new partnership formalised.
QS subject rankings
We have continued to perform strongly in the 2024 QS World University Subject Rankings, with ten subjects in the top 50 and 23 in the top 100. This is a significant achievement, and a testament to the commitment to research and teaching excellence that our staff embody. Thank you and well done. Researchers with global impact
Last night the University held the The Hikina kia Tutuki, Rise to the Challenge: Researchers with Global Impact event. This event recognises the achievement of our researchers who feature in this year’s Clarivate and Elsevier highly cited researcher rankings, and celebrates the global impact of their research and the benefits to society in Aotearoa New Zealand and globally. Congratulations to all those acknowledged. Taumata
Another inspiring event held last week was Taumata, celebrating our 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award winners. Five exceptional alumni were recognised and we had the honour of hearing from each of them about their successes and the meaningful impacts they are making.
