Hughes-Hutton wins UC business and economics scholarship

Hagley College’s Jacob Hughes-Hutton has been awarded the University of Canterbury’s College of Business and Economics Young Enterprise Student of the year $5000 annual scholarship.

The award was made at the Young Enterprise Scheme regional awards at the University of Canterbury (UC) last night. Hughes-Hutton will study economics at UC next year.
St Thomas of Canterbury College won the Young Enterprise Scheme last night with Rangi Ruru Girls’ School runner-up and winner of the Science Alive Innovation Award.

Rangiora High School won the BNZ Excellence Award for financial management.
