Labour opens nominations for third selection round and for Party List
The New Zealand Labour Party's candidate selection process for the 2011 general election continues with nominations opening today for the third round of electorate seats. The electorate seats that Labour is accepting nominations for are:
• Bay of Plenty; Pakuranga;
• Botany; Papakura;
• Christchurch East; Rangitikei;
• Clutha-Southland; Rodney;
• Coromandel; Rotorua;
• Dunedin North; Selwyn;
• East Coast; Tamaki;
• East Coast Bays; Tamaki Makurau;
• Epsom; Taranaki-King Country;
• Hamilton East; Taupo;
• Hauraki-Waikato; Tauranga;
• Helensville; Te Tai Hauauru;
• Hunua; Waiariki;
• Ikaroa-Rawhiti; Waikato;
• Ilam; Waimakariri;
• Kaikoura; Wairarapa;
• Manukau East; Waitaki;
• Manurewa; Wellington Central;
• New Plymouth; Whangarei;
• North Shore; Wigram.
• Northland;
Nominations for these seats will close at 5pm on Wednesday 1 September 2010.
The Labour Party has also opened nominations today for its Party List. Nominations for the Party List will close on 17 January 2010.
