University panel discusses economic crisis

The Business Roundtable’s Roger Kerr speaks at Waikato University on May 13 alongside the former Speaker of the House, Law School Professor Margaret Wilson.

They are part of a panel called Responding to the Economic Crisis – a question of law, policy or politics.

Prof Wilson will discuss the role of law in the current economic crisis, while Mr Kerr, the executive director of the New Zealand Business Roundtable, will consider policy implications for New Zealand in the crisis.

Joining Mr Kerr and Prof Wilson will be Professor Jane Kelsey from Auckland University’s Faculty of Law. She will speak on the Government’s Response to the Economic Crisis: Principled Reflection or Neoliberal Opportunism?

The panel discussion is open to the public and includes time for questions. It takes place on Wednesday May 13, from 6pm in room S.1.05 at the university.
