NZEI Says Attack On NZQA Chief Unfair
NZEI Te Riu Roa joins the PPTA in condemning the personal attack made by National’s education spokesperson, Bill English, on NZQA chief executive, Karen Sewell.
“Attacking Karen Sewell’s integrity is another example of politicians scoring cheap political shots at the expense of the students who are sitting NCEA exams,” says NZEI Te Riu Roa National President, Colin Tarr.
“NZEI has on a few occasions disagreed with Ms Sewell, in her role as the Chief Reviewer of the Education Review Office, but there is no doubting her sincerity and her commitment to students’ education,” says Colin Tarr.
