The New Zealand Council of Trade Unions Te Kauae Kaimahi (NZCTU) is reaching out to workers, tangata whenua, community allies, NGOs and interested New Zealanders to develop transformative policies, and to grow a movement of people willing to fight for them in the lead up to the next election.
The NZCTU is the national representative body for trade unions in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our 30 members represent over 300,000 working people in Aotearoa. Established in 1987, we are advocates for the rights and interests of workers across a range of industries. The focus of our work is to improve working conditions, promote fair wages, and ensure workplace safety. We play a pivotal role in shaping labour policies and advancing social justice initiatives to create a more equitable society for all New Zealanders.
